I have moved into my little room in Tokyo. It is quite small, but it is more than sufficient. It is in the Japanese style with tatami mats on the floor and a foldable futon.
I have taken some pictures of it, but this computer spontaneously rebooted and talked to me profusely in Japanese when I tried to transfer the pictures to it. So that will have to wait.
I miss my own computer.

My room has aircon. Lovely, lovely aircon. Yesterday's temperature was about 40 degrees celsius. That is quite hot. I am not a huge fan of summer in general, so this is quite trying for me.
The house is situated in what I take to be typical Japanese suburbia. I have found a small temple, an even smaller graveyard, several schools and even a baseball field (or whatever those things are called). The streets are small and rubbish disposal is an important issue in the neighborhood...! XD Very calm, very peaceful.

It is strange to have no forms of electronics in my room. I spend my evenings drawing and writing, which is very nice. The evenings seem to be much longer. I suppose it is good in a way that I have not managed to get the ancient mac that I brought working yet, or I might just spend my evenings like I do at home, in front of the computer, and then there would hardly be any reason for me to go to the other side of the planet.

There was an earthquake yesterday morning! It was quite small here, but the Canadian girl in my house said that it measured 4.5 on the Richter scale. (Or maybe it was 5.4) The house shook for about ten seconds. It was sort of equivalent to a large lorry driving by.

Tomorrow I will be going to Comiket, which should prove interesting! I will as always try to find the holy grail of doujins, but we will have to see what I can get... I am looking forward to seeing whether some of the other participants of WCS will be there in cosplay. I will be going in civilian clothes, since it is no fun to be just one part of the desert gay team... (RaduxIon of Trinity Blood. Just you wait for the pictures...!)

I was a bad girl and went shopping with Marie before she went home. But I managed to get a few nice things quite cheaply. Though I did have to pay full price for my lovely Atelier Boz jacket. Oh, I am a plus size in Japan! XD Well, in H.Naoto, anyway. Much love for Atelier Pierrot in the basement of LaForet, where they always play Buck-tick!

As always, I hope you are well, wherever you are.

I am in Japan.

This experience is very hard to convert into words. There are so many little fragments, that I cannot seem to piece together.

But I am well.

Wcs 2007 was an interesting experience, to say the least. That week went by very fast, yet so much happened, that it almost seemed like it went on for a month.
I will write more, so much more, later, if I ever get around to it.

Right now I am in Tokyo with Marie, in a little stall in an internet cafe, blissfully equipped with air con. It is very hot here at the moment. We have been acting a pair of very geeky tourists, going to doll shops and seeking out 'ladies manga', whereever we can find it. We are eating cheap and delicious food, and enjoying the sights, if you catch my drift...

I like Tokyo. I do not mind this feeling.

I think of you guys a lot. I hope you are well. Internet hugs do not really make up for anything, but it is all I can give at the moment, so a multitude of hugs for you all.

Oh, if there is anything you need from Japan, tell me.

I was going to post more cosplay pictures next, but still haven't really collected my thoughts... So my poor photoshop skills bring you a very different image, inspired by one that leechy_girl did a long time ago.

Sooo... You may or may not have noticed that I haven't been updating my journal much lately, and that I haven't had a lot of time for my friends.

There is a reason for this.

You see, yesterday the first Danish Cosplay Summit (cosplaysummit.dk) took place, and I've been extremely focused on my costume. This was a preliminary round for WCS (World Cosplay Summit), after all. Marie went as Esther Blanchett and I went as Caterina Sforza (Trinity Blood again, see a pattern here? XD).

So how did it go?

Well, why buy a ticket to Japan when you can work on a costume for two months AND WIN A FREE TRIP??? :D

That's right, angel_army and lucie_bat won the DCS!!!

Just the two pictures for now (I found these excellent pictures on the net and I don't know who took them, so I hope it's ok with the owner. Not hotlinking, btw). Will post more when the rest of the pictures come rolling in! ^^

Until then, there's lots of pictures over at http://www.animefans.dk/?vis=galleri;gal=3

I have a lot to say about the whole process, but right now I just feel like sleeping for a year.

So what have I been doing with all this free time I've been having lately?

I've been creating. Drawing, sewing and writing.

In regards to drawing I largely have my friends to thank for that, since you've been encouraging me so much. I had almost forgotten that I had any abilities in that field.
Being around creative people really does foster creativity.
I've a long way to go before I'm happy with my work, but at least I sense some development now.

With a little help from some tutorials I finally figured out how to use photoshop for colouring! Yay!
I'm quite the amateur, but at least I'm getting somewhere now.

I'm ridiculously proud of this one! XD
It's Joss, looking all happy and cute and... blue...?

At last I found a character for my poor Juri 05 which has been lying around for a year!

It has undergone an extensive transformation; heavy sanding of the cheeks and jawline, lowering the upper lip and changing the eye shape.

He still doesn't have his proper wig (it is supposed to be auburn) and he is currently on my Ambroise's Dolkot body, but I'm going to present him anyway! :D

So here he is: Aubrey, formerly known as Smutboy!

Yeah, I'm sure this is all over some of your friendslists, but bear with me please. I really needed to squee about it!

A sketch of the design of my new boy (we're talking dolls here), still to my dismay and amusement known as 'Smutboy'. XD
Ideas for a name are greatly appreciated! I've got a few potentials, but I'm not quite sure yet...

To avoid messing up everyone's friendslist's too much, the full picture is under a cut. Please take a look!

Thank you!

Some pictures of Sebastien on the deserted island beach on a cold christmas day.
Some of you will be happy (and some of you sad) to know that the pictures are this time entirely work-safe. ;)
